ILM Growing Thanks To More Flights, Larger Planes And Terminal Expansion

According to the Greater Wilmington Business Journal, Wilmington International Airport hit a record 100,000 passengers in June and has seen an increase in the amount of travelers each month so far in 2019.

The growth is attributed to United Airlines beginning service in April, 2018, expanded service by American Airlines and Delta, the use of larger aircraft by two carriers and a three-phase terminal expansion project in process to allow for a potential fourth airline in the future.
